Windows Keyboard Shortcuts with CTRL

Here I collected some really important Shortcuts with CTRL for Windows (obviously). Shortcuts can help a lot to save time and improve your Workflow as well. When you learn to memorize some of these Shortcuts you will get faster with everything because you don’t have to get your hands off the keyboard to use the mouse to do a certain action.

General useful Shortcuts:
Shortcut Action
CTRL+T Opens a new Tab in your Browser
CTRL+C Copie the selected text
CTRL+X Cut the selected text
CTRL+V Paste the copied/cuted text
CTRL+A Select all
CTRL+Z Undo the last operation
CTRL+Y Redo the last undo(CTRL+Z)
CTRL+F Open Search field
Useful for editing text:

CTRL+B Bold
CTRL+U Underline
CTRL+I Italic
CTRL+LEFT ARROW/RIGHT ARROW jump from word to word
CTRL+UP ARROW/DOWN ARROW jump to previous or next line
Browser Shortcuts:
Shortcut Action
CTRL+N Open new Tab (Works in Browser and in Folders on Windows)
CTRL+T Open a new Tab in your Browser
CTRL+W Close the current Tab
CTRL+SHIFT+T Reopen previously closed Tabs
CTRL+TAB Switch to the next Tab
CTRL+SHIFT+TAB Switch to the previous Tab
CTRL+D Add the current website as a bookmark
CTRL+E Select the search bar in your Browser
CTRL+F5 Refresh the Website ignoring cache

 

Shortcut Action
CTRL+ + Zooms into the Website
CTRL+ – Zooms out
CTRL+0 Resets the zooming you did before

 

Windows Shortcuts:
Shortcut Action
CTRL+N Open new Tab (Works in Browser and in Folders on Windows)
CTRL+SHIFT+N Create new Folder
CTRL+ESC Open Windows Start Menu (The same you open by clicking on the Windows Logo at the left-bottom of your screen)
CTRL+SHIFT+ESC Open the task manager
CTRL+ESC Open the Start menu (use the ARROW keys to select an item)
